QVA IN ACTION QVA offers a challenge to individuals, groups and Meetings to put their faith into action.
We do this by providing adventurous voluntary opportunities
Quaker Volunteer Exchange
QVA has always supported volunteering by linking individuals with worldwide projects which put faith into action. In 2006 we will be concentrating on working with Friends in continental Europe to provide opportunities to live, work and share together.
Working Retreats
In collaboration with Swarthmoor Hall, QVA organises five-day working retreats where participants can combine practical work in the grounds with guided spiritual exploration.During 2006 we are developing
similar opportunities in urban and rural settings.
Support for Quaker Meetings & groups
Wherever possible, QVA offers support to Meetings or groups who wish to act on their concerns and faith. This might be through the provision of information, facilitation, workshops or personal consultation.QVA are working with QPSW (Quaker Peace and Social Witness) in the production and promotion of the Quaker Directory of work in Britain Yearly Meeting.
